Alaska Women’s Political Caucus is a multi-partisan, multi-cultural grassroots organization. It is dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the political arena and creating a political power base designed to achieve equality for women. The Anchorage Women’s Commission was created to advise the Mayor and Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage on matters pertaining to the status of women. This nine member body is concerned with improving opportunities for women in the community.
